史学——我们的一个精神家园

在当今社会中,史学往往被一些人所误解,认为它与现实没有密切的关系。这种误解不仅不利于历史学的发展,而且阻碍了历史学社会功能的发挥。对于我们这样一个史学大国来说,这是极不正常的。必须予以纠正。史学的属性和价值在于:它是人们认识历史的主要路径,是人们藉以治国安邦的智慧宝藏,是人生旅途的忠实伴侣,对民族、国家、社会和个人,都具有十分重要的意义。从更深刻的意义上看,史学滋养了我们的民族精神,培育了我们的忧患意识,激发了我们的爱国情操,它是我们中华民族各族人民的一个精神家园。

Historiography—— Our Spiritual Homeland

In today's society historiography is often misunderstood by some people who consider that it bears no relation to reality.This misunderstanding is harmful to the development of historiography and hinders its exertion of social function.This is extremely abnormal for such a historiography power and should be corrected.The attribute and value of historiography consist in the fact that it is the main means for people to know history,a wisdom treasure trove for running a country well and giving the people peace and security,and highly significant for our nationality,our country and individuals.Historiography,in a deeper sense,has nourished our national spirit,cultivated our consciousness of misery and stimulated our patriotic sentiment.Thus it is our spiritual homeland.
