Dynamic stability is an important component of Deng Xiaoping' theory. " The overwhelming problem in China is stability " . This is a conclusion Deng Xiaoping came to in exploring the road to build socialism with Chinese characteristics and through summing up experiences in history and drawing lessons from victories and defeats in China and abroad. Stability has a particular connotation and special importance in China in the primary phase of socialsm. First we must undertand its importance based on the basic situation of China. Secondly, we must undertand its importance based on the awareness of the relation between the stability in China and that of the world in the present international situation. Today when the cause of reform and opening to the world has entered into a crucial stage , it is even more important to correctly understand and handle the relations between reform, development and stability . And the stability is not a frozen stability but a dynamic , positive and developing stability. Developing stability, seeking progress in stability - this is a very important lessen we have learned in the course of building socialism by adhering to Deng Xiaoping's theory.
