中式菜肴的命名特点及其英译

摘    要:在享有世界烹饪王国之称的中华大地,烹饪艺术博大精深、源远流长。品尝独具特色的中华美食已成为海外游客在中国观光游览的一项重要内容。菜名作为一种传递信息和传播文化的手段,在饮食文化对外交流中具有一定的重要性。本文主要从中式菜肴的命名特点出发,探讨了在翻译的过程中,针对不同的命名特点,采取相应的翻译方法,即"直译"和"直译加注释"的方法,以实现准确而形象生动的翻译。

Abstract:Known as a kingdom of cooking, China has its cooking with masterly art and long history. Chinese cooking has been widely accepted around the world. Dish names play an increasingly significant role in exchanging the diet culture with the world. This paper mainly discusses the features of Chinese dish names and the corresponing methods in English translation, such as 'literal translation' and 'literal translation plus note' , in the hope of achieving both accurate and effective translation. Moreover, Chinese diet culture could be fully exposed to the outside world.
