| Abstract: | This paper analyzes the types of the metaphorical expression and explains their pragmatic functions .Meta-phor can make language vivid ,humorous ,and persuasive and having new meaning ,making it a unique and important pragmatic strategy .Metaphor is not only the means and tools to rich language ,also related with our innovative think-ing and language acquisition ,emphasizing the training of the students ’ metaphoric competence . |
