The Survey on Cultural Similarities Between Chinese and Western Names

In the history of the civilization of our mankind,there is a long history on the cultures of our names. The essay has a brief analysis on the pragmatic phenomena of our cultures between the Chinese and Western names. We found that although all kinds of names are complicated and colourful in our human world, there are still some wonderful similarities as human cognitive symbols and pragmatic functions. Though we have some differences and similarities between the eastern and western cultures ,we still have some language similarities in the history of the formation and development of our human names and nicknames.
