Abstract: | An interpersonal relationship perspective is gaining influence in early childhood practice and research. The research presented in this special issue, “Relationships in Early Childhood Programs”, focuses on adult-child, child-child, and adult-adult relationships as they develop in the context of early childhood programs. The authors address issues of importance to both practitioners and researchers: types and dimensions of early childhood program relationships; measurement of relationships; relationship processes that are central to program goals; and the importance of interpersonal relationships as a focus for practice, theory, and research. |
