| Abstract: | The contrasting setting-off is a principle that accords with the art dialectics ; it is also an important method to creat the art beauty.the novelists in Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty of China accumulated much successful experience by using the principle and method to portay characters and model the typical art case. The principle and method not only can enrich the novel--creating theory of our country but also can have great influence upon the creation of novels of the later ages. |
