| 摘 要： | 英语谚语是人类千百年经验的总结，人生教训的概括，世事沧桑的领悟，负载着深厚的文化内涵。它们大都内容积极，既有思想道德功用，又有科学认识功用，还起到教育警策作用，对于陶冶人们的情操，塑造正确的人生观和价值观，发挥着良好的作用。

| Abstract: | English proverbs are the summarization of human experience over thousands of years, the summation of the suc cesses and failures and their comprehension of human affairs. They are loaded with profound cultural connotations. Most of them have positive content and have the function of moral education, scientific understanding and admonition. English proverbs play a good role in molding people＇ s temperament and shaping their outlook on life and their way of thinking. |
