Gender and Computing in Further Education: a life story approach |
| |
Abstract: | ABSTRACT This report gives an account of work in progress using biographical/life story methods to explore the under‐representation of women on computing courses in further education in the United Kingdom. It gives an illustrated account of the progress to date of our research, concentrating on exposition and analysis of the methodology of the study. By refining and extending the methods described here we hope to explore further the idea of the gendering of activities and interest in the field of computing. |
