空间转向与外国文学教学中地图的使用

摘    要:20世纪70年代以降,西方人文社科领域经历了一场整体性的“空间转向”。在此影响下,越来越多的学者提出并从事“文学空间研究”,其中对地图和文学绘图的研究成为一大热点。在此思潮中,文学教学迎来了新的思维范式、教学方法和课程设置,地图与绘图工具的使用,是一个重要方面。文章将主要讨论地图在外国文学教学中以下三方面的使用:处理与作家和作品相关的历史文化背景;绘制作品中人物的活动轨迹及其深层意义;揭示作品地理叙事中的意识形态内涵。

Abstract:Humanities and social sciences of the western countries have witnessed a spatial turn since 1970s, which has attracted scholars’ wide interest in spatial literary study, especially on maps and literary cartography. This trend has introduced new courses, fresh modes of thinking, teaching approaches, and use of maps and mapping tools. The present article focused on the consideration of the application of maps in teaching foreign literature in the aspects of the historical and cultural background of authors and works, the development of characters in the world of literature and its implicit significance, and the ideological preferences implied in the geographical narratives of literary works.
