Abstract: | A recent technique called single-sourcing has evolved to handle complex documents that involve content replication. Current rhetorical theories are insufficient to analyze this technique. This essay offers a background rooted in the poetic movements of Anglo-American Imagism and Russian Acmeism. Through developing an intertextuality of induction, rhetorical structure, and emphasis on craft, the poetic traditions inform examples of how these concepts apply to pedagogical and paradigmatic approaches to single-sourcing. |
