推进大学英语模块教学的几点思考

自上个世纪70年代以来,我国一些高职院校开始引入模块化教学并逐步在英语教学中进行运用。在当前市场竞争日益激烈、学生就业日益严峻的形势下,普通高等院校也有必要针对非英语专业学生积极推广模块化英语教学,将教学内容划分为若干个教学模块,统筹安排教材和师资,在规定课时内对某一主题进行系统教学,突出课堂教学的实践氛围,提高学生的英语实际应用能力。

Reflection on the Practice of Modular Teaching

Since 1970s,some vocational colleges in China have introduced modular teaching and gradually practiced it in English teaching. Under the current circumstances of increasingly competitive market and the intense employment pressures for students,it is necessary for regular institutions of higher learning to practice modular teaching for non-English majors. In order to improve students＇ English skills,it is also suggested to divide the teaching contents into several modules,arrange textbooks and teachers properly,teach subject systematically within a certain period,and highlight practice atmosphere in classroom.
