民国时期扬州教育现代化的思考

摘    要:扬州现代教育体制的建立对扬州城市现代化有着积极的推动功效,具体表现为现代意义整合效应、人才效应、西学引进效应以及新阶层呈现效应。民国时期扬州教育现代化的经济价值取向是重文轻理、重商轻工的传统教育倾向,其经济终点目标是极小的。这一时期扬州教育还存在着城乡之河、人才与社会就业之间以及男女比例等方面的失衡。

Abstract:The establishment of Yangzhou modern educational system positively accelerated the modernization of the city. It is manifested in the effect of unification in its modem sense, of talent, of Western learning introduction and of the emergence of new classes. The orientation of economic value of the Yangzhou educational modernization in the Republic of China is an obvious demonstration of traditional education inclination which prefers art and commerce to science and industry. In that period, the imbalance between urban and rural areas, talents and social employments, and the improper proportion of men to women still existed in Yangzhou education.
