Tragedy of Folk under the Perspective of Enlightenment:Sheng Si Chang

On the stand of enlightenment, she reached the perfection both in the depth of exposing the ignorance and savageness of Chinese folk and in revealing their firm holds of life and bitter struggles before death, which proves Xiao Hong among the best writers in modern China. Her poetic tone, lyrical sentences and hovering emotions, also mark herself as one of the modern Chinese writers who owned a keen sense of literary style.
