| Abstract: | Milk and Honey is a haunting novel showing the skilled and sensitive writer Elizabeth Jolley at her best. Rich in literary, biblical and mythical allusions, the novel is concerned with metaphysical issues and music .Jolley describes the journey of Jacob, the novel's protagonist and narrator, to self-knowledge and a kind of redemption. After analyzing the structure of the novel, time technique, religious significance and the theme of music, this article summarizes the writing techniques in this novel |
