| Abstract: | The concept of polyrepresentation is introduced.The progress of research on polyrepresentation is reviewed,including the principle of polyrepresentation,empirical research and the polyrepresentation of information object,cognitive actor and cognitive space.Finally,the paper describes the author's understanding of polyrepresentation,and discusses the possibility of regarding polyrepresentation as the basic principle of Information Science. |
