Analysis on making of strategic plans for newly-established local universities

Newly-established local universities are an important part in our country′s higher education,and making strategic plans scientifically plays an important role in the development of these universities.This article analyzes the problems which exist in making strategic plans of newly-established local universities,and then proposes some specific suggestions about the optimization of strategic planning: to establish a planning organization and improve the team′s quality,to pay attention to the mission and vision statement and then confirm the school orientation and its characteristic,to create a good government-school relationship,and be positive for external support,to make strategic option scientifically and search for a development road with its own characteristics,and to establish mechanism of feedback and assessment,then enhance the execution ability of strategic planning.
