论封建“王制”下中西城市的差异

封建社会中的中西方城市在各个方面具有显著的差异。中古西方城市多为经济中心，并且在政治、经济、司法等诸方面拥有自治权，而古代中国城市始终为封建政治中心，是国家机器的重要组成部分。二者这种鲜明的特点，对各自社会的发展产生了深远影响。归其原因与封建“王制”有很大关系。从中西封建城市兴起后的分途、城市结构及其独立性等方面都可看出封建王制对中西封建城市差异性的影响。
