Reflections on the Philosophical Base of Chinese Literature Criticism

At the turn of the century, although they have been busy with works in the past century, the Chinese literature critics only to find that they are now in a sort of "aphasia". Looking back at their long struggling efforts in the constitution and development of Chinese's literature criticism, they find there are still quite a few questions worthy of being reflected. Pondering the history and reality of Chinese literature critics, the author of this essay points out that we haven' t solved the most essential problem in Chinese literature critics. That is, what on earth is the real source of our spiritual power and where is the supporting point for the theory of our literature criticism.
