酒店英文简介中语气与人称的人际功能

摘    要:在韩礼德的人际意义模式下,研究以30篇酒店英文简介作为分析语料,运用统计和实证的方法,探讨了简介中语气和人称的人际功能。分析表明,提供酒店基本信息的言语功能主要通过陈述句和少量祈使句来实现;而敦促读者采取行动则是通过祈使句及隐喻性陈述句来表达。排他性第一人称代词复数体现说话者的权势和酒店信息的权威性;包容性第一人称代词复数有利于拉近酒店与潜在客人间的心理距离;第二人称代词则创设出读者与酒店进行面对面交流的对话场景。

Interpersonal Functions of Mood and Person in English Hotel Profiles

Abstract:Within the framework of M. A. K. Halliday's interper-sonal model, the mood and person systems are investigated to i-dentify how writers of hotel introductions manipulate these lin-guistic resources for establishing and sustaining favorable inter-personal relationships with potential guests. It is found that the speech function of information-offering is realized typically by declaratives and metaphorically by imperatives;while ac-tion-praying is realized mainly by imperatives and metaphorical-ly by declaratives. Manipulating the first person pronouns is to alienate writers from or become intimate with readers.While the second person pronouns are aimed to create a face-to-face dia-logue between hotels and potential guests.
