农民工是由中国城乡二元管理体制派生出的一个规模巨大的特殊群体,数以亿计的农民工为中国经济社会发展作出了巨大贡献,正逐渐成为新时期中国工人阶级的主力军.由于受劳动力市场供求关系、户籍制度、法制不够健全、农民工缺乏法律知识和法律意识等众多因素的影响,农民工合法权益缺失严重,主要表现在:劳动权益屡遭侵害,政治权益无保障,社会歧视严重.维护农民工的合法权益,要从观念、法律、制度、教育等方面多措并举.

An Analysis of Protection of Farmer Workers'''' Lawful Rights and Countermeasures

Farmer workers is a massive-scale special group derived from the dual management system in city and countryside of China. Billions of farmer workers who have made great contribution to the national economic development are turning into the main force of working class in the new times. Their lawful rights are not perfect and affected by such following factors as the relationship between supply and demand in the labor-force market, household registration system, imperfect legal system and lack of the legal knowledge and awareness. Their lawful rights are infringed repeatedly and their political rights cannot be ensured. They are discriminated seriously by the society. So the measures from the aspects of ideas, laws, systems and education should be taken together.
