我国姓氏的起源与发展

姓氏的发展源远流长,姓氏文化蕴籍丰厚,是中国古代文化重要的组成部分.姓氏的发端一是表明身份、地位;二是区别婚姻.自商周至春秋战国时期,形式多样的赐姓制度,使中国的姓氏不断增加.秦汉之际,姓与氏开始混为一谈,以氏代姓普遍出现,姓氏逐步稳定成现有的体制.中国姓氏多达6362个,但大姓比较集中,<百家姓>收录468个姓氏可以涵盖全国人口90%左右.

The Origins and Evolution of both Chinese surnames and Clan Names

The culture of both Chinese surnames and clan names has along history and is an Important part of ancient Chinese cultrue. At very beginning surnames was the symbol of social status and was to distinguish marriages.During the period from Shang and Zhou dynasties to Warriages, thesystem of giving surnames by emperors was formed ,thus greatly increasing surnames in China. At Qin and Han dynasties surnames and clan names were confused; surnames were used to replace clan names commonly and gradually evoluted into the present system. There about 6362 surnames are existing in China at present and 468 recorded in the book Hundred Surnames can cover 90 percent of the Whole population.
