Abstract: | Two goldfish were reinforced for responding in the presence of a compound S+ consisting of a bright light and a loud sound. S? compounds differed from the S+ with respect to light intensity, sound intensity, or both. Responding in the presence of each compound was evaluated according to several alternative models of stimulus combination. The results permit rejection of some hypotheses concerning integrative processing in the goldfish. |
