Suggestions for the study of individual speech cases

Group libel legislation has been discussed by First Amendment scholars for more than two decades. The increasing activism of neo‐nazi and other hate groups has caused renewed efforts to enact group defamation laws. In this essay the history, constitutionality, and advisability of such legislation is discussed.
