| Abstract: | The paper is aimed at exploring the application of various translation principles in the translation of idioms.By analyzing the origin of idioms,the author goes on to give a detailed discussion of idiomatic translation practice and thus concluded that a translator's main task is to balance the preservation of the original culture and the readability of the text in the target language. |
