摘    要:科举制的废除并不等于心理层面的身份文化的消失。科举制的长期存在使国人积淀了一种重视考试的“遗传性”和极其浓厚的借助教育获得科名的身份情结。除了毛泽东时代的短暂中断,百年来这一教育身份功能绵绵不绝,挥之不去。考察其变化轨迹,有助于帮助我们解读当今中国的“应试教育”和学历狂热。

Abstract:The abolishment of imperial examination system doesn't mean the disappearance of identity culture in psychology. The long- established imperial examination has made our people inherit an idea of emphasizing examinations and be keen on acquiring scholarly honour by means of education. With the exception of temporary suspension in the era of Mao zedong, this role of education has long been in existence in the past century. The exploration of its history is helpful to the interpretation of the examination- oriented education and the fanticism for records of formal schooling in current China.
