| 摘 要： | 实施西部大开发战略，加快中西部地区的发展，是江泽民对邓小平“两个大局”思想的具体运用，也是对邓小平“两个大局”思想的丰富和发展。实施西部大开发战略，有利于改善我国的生态环境，维护社会安定、民族团结及边疆安全，增强国际竞争力。因此，运用新思路、新方法、新机制加快西部大开发，已成为我国的当务之争，重中之重。

| Abstract: | Implementing the strategy of developing China's Western Regions and speeding up the development of the mid and Western Regions is the President Jiang Ze-min's concrete application based on Deng Xiao-ping's thoughts on two-big general situations. It enriches and develops Deng Xiao-ping's thoughts of the two big general situations. To foster the development strategy in China's Western Regions, one can not only improve the ecological environment and maintain the social stability but also needs to strengthen national unity and the safety of the front borders, pacing up with international competition. Thus using the new chain of thoughts, new method and new system to speed up the development of China's Western Regions is pressing and important. |
