| Abstract: | This paper makes a comparative study of English and Chinese compound words from form, pronunciation and structure. The result shows that there are differences between English and Chinese compound words in all the three aspects. The comparative study of English and Chinese compound words is of great significance to vocabulary, translation and teaching. |
