大学翻译教学中的西方翻译理论选择

翻译理论研究和翻译教学的地位在不断上升,但大学本科段翻译教学是否应介绍西方翻译理论仍是一个有争议的问题。本文运用西方翻译理论对实例进行分析,力图说明部分西方翻译理论对实践的指导作用。作者认为西方译论作为中国翻译理论的重要补充,将为提高本科学生的翻译水平和理论意识发挥积极作用。

On the Selection of Western Translation Theories in University Translation Teaching

Abstract The importance of translation studies and the teaching of translation is on the rise in China. However, whether transla- tion theories from the western countries should be introduced into the undergraduate program of Chinese universities is open to de- bate. In an attempt to show the positive effect of western transla- tion theories on translation practice in China, this paper makes an analysis of some examples by using those theories. The author concludes that western translation theories can play a supple- mentary role in assisting undergraduate students in China to im- prove their theoretical awareness as well as their real translation skills.
