Abstract:Kafka's metamorphosis was known as one of the greatest works of fiction in the 20th century. It is about the fantastical adventures of Gregor Samsa, who transformed into a gigantic insect and finally died in loneliness, which reveals the loss of human nature under the western capitalist system of money and the fear of personal survival in the society. When understanding kafka's theme of creation,an important detail can not be ignored- in kafka's novels which showed alienation theme, the metamorphosis is the only deformation directly by the people into an animal. Then comes a question- in so many of the"ugly"animals, why the author chose beetles as Gerry gore deformation? This article will discuss this problem later.
Keywords:Kafka  beetles  fear
