试析“兔子”四部曲中的两性关系

文章主要关注厄普代克在＂兔子＂四部曲中对两性关系的认识。他认为,男性希望在两性关系中居于中心地位,对女性保持心理优势,结果却是男女互换了角色,女性逐渐掌控了局面;女性是男性的肉体鸦片,但是其慰藉作用有限,而且性泛滥的后果是害人害己;性也带来了婚姻的重负,所以男性要逃避婚姻,却最终陷入窘境。

Analysis about Gender Relationship in the Rabbit Quartet

This paper concerns about the gender relationship in the Rabbit Quartet through Updike＇s viewpoint.His general idea is that men hope they occupy the central position in the gender relationship,and keep mental superiority,ironically,role reversal occurs,women gradually take charge of situation;women are similar to opium for men,but the effect of comfort is limited,and oversexed men harm watch,harm catch;sex bring about fetters of marriage,so men want to escape from marriages,but they ultimately put themselves in the dilemma.
