早期现代奥林匹克运动的体育项目,都是从战争的目的出发,为战争服务。中国的儒家思想家们所考虑的是“中国”和“夷狄”要各安其份,不事远略。奥林匹克哲学思想与中国儒家思想的核心都是教育人们全面均衡地发展,把道德教育放在首位,正确认识本民族以外的事物,客观看待别人,不断地丰富完善自己,建设一个和平而美好的世界,达到“天下归仁”的理想境界。

Discussion of Olympic philosophical thoughts and Chinese Confucianism

The early sports events of the modern Olympic Movement originated from the war and served for the war. What the Chinese Confucian thinkers (considered) was that "the Chinese" and the ethnic minorities must not go beyond their bounds. The core of both Olympic philosophical idea and Chinese Confucian ideology is educating people to be all-round (developed),putting moral education in the first place,correctly understanding things beyond their own nationality,objectively regarding others,continuously enriching and (perfecting) therselves and building up a peaceful and graceful world to reach the ideal realm of "being benevolent in the whole world".
