Developing Proficiency in Teaching Mathematies

Effective teaching can take a variety of forms. All forms of instruction can best be examined from the perspective of how teachers, students, and content interact in contexts. Effectiveness depends on enactment, on the mutual and interdependent interaction of the three elements--mathematical content, teacher, students--as instruction unfolds.
