| 摘 要： | “中华民族”这一族称虽是近代在中国和西方列强的对抗中出现的，但“中华民族”作为一个自在的民族实体已存在了几千年。其形成和发展的历史过程深刻表明：中华民族的团结是各民族人民的历史选择，56个民族具有源远流长的内聚力，存在着生存发展共性，是一个荣辱与共、相互依存、不可分割的整体。

| Abstract: | The Chinese nation as a conscious national entity has existed for thousands of years, though the term Chinese nation just appeared amid the confrontation between China and the western powers in modern times. The history of its formation and development indicates that the unity of the Chinese nation was the historical choice of all the nationalities. There has been a longlasting internal cohesive force between the 56 Chinese nationalities which share generalities, glories and shames, and are interdependent on one other as an integral whole. |
