新批评派有机形式观溯源

新批评派的有机形式观由“独立自足性”、“有机整体性”和“对立调和性”等概念组成。从渊源上讲,它是对传统的有机形式论及其所包含的对立调和思想的再度申说和改写。从哲学美学上所讲的想象力的对立调和到艺术创作中想象力的对立调和,再到艺术接受中心理情感的对立调和,最后到文本结构方面的对立调和,新批评将作品变成了一个独立自足的、具有对立调和意义结构的有机整体,同时也将传统美学和文论中丰富的“有机形式”论思想简单化了。

Origin of the Outlook on Organic form in New Criticism

The outlook on organic form in New Criticism consists of three concepts such as " literary autonomy","organic whole" and "unity of opposites".From the origin,its proposition restates and rewrites the traditional outlook on organic form and the idea of "unity of opposites" which contains.From the idea of "unity of opposites" about imagination in philosophy and aesthetics to that about imagination in artistic creation,then to that about emotion in artistic appreciation,and finally to that about form and structure in texts,the New Criticism regards literary works as an organic whole which is autonomous,whose structure follows the law of the "unity of opposites" and produces meaning itself.The New Criticism simplifies the rich ideas of organic form in the history of western literary and aesthetic theory.
