摘    要:如何实现英语教师队伍从“青黄不接、实力不济”向“结构优化、实力强化”转变,英语教师队伍建设应该走专业化发展道路这已不容置疑,专业化发展需要体现有序性值得进一步研究探索。努力达成教师队伍的专业资质梯队化、专业标准系列和专业提升路径化,是实现这一转变的有效途径。

Abstract:This paper seeks to examine the philosophy and methodology employed in navigating an inherited department which was understaffed with less than ideally qualified teachers operating inefficiently, culminating in one that demonstrates strength and ef- ficiency at every level. The approach adopted was predicated on the signposting of discrete professional development pathways with carefully programmed targets, tailor made to take advantage of the educational strengths of the members and designed to maximise the effectiveness of the groups by creating a complementary skill balance within each group.
