| 摘 要： | 隐喻是人们思维、行为和表达思想的方式.空间隐喻是人类语言中最重要、最基本的一个认知域.此研究从空间隐喻和原型范畴理论的角度出发,并结合使用英语国家语料库检索"up",对语料进行词频和搭配的研究.重点探讨英语中"up"分别沿着哪些隐喻义拓展,换言之,就是要找出哪些抽象概念是通过"up"来构建的,即分析探索其原型意义(空间意义)及边缘意义(隐喻意义)和它们之间的拓展过程.通过对真实语料的分析初步得出下述结论:(1)up主要用以构建4个目标域,即状态、动作、数量、方向;(2)up通常与好的事物相连如表示状态振作向上,事物的完成或结束状态,靠近,数量增加,方向向北(重要).
