公示语翻译问题研究——以贵阳市为例

公示语的翻译有其自身的独特之处,公示语译文既要跨越文化差异、亲切地面对读者,又要为读者提供准确的信息,符合国际的惯例等。但目前中国公示语英译的现状不容乐观,存在诸多问题。以贵阳市为例,就存在着拼写错误,语法错误及用词错误,不合规范等等问题。因此,在公示语的翻译中应该以目的为导向,加强沟通,减少拼音,提倡翻译。在城市的国际化进程和旅游开发中,公示语的正确合适的翻译具有重要意义。

An Analysis of the Errors in the Translation of Public Signs in Guiyang

This paper,based on the results of former researches,makes a case study of the translation of public signs in the City of Guiyang,pointing out that translation is preferred rather than the use of pinyin,and the translation should be purpose-oriented in order to enhance understanding between two cultures.And a correct and suitable translation of public signs is of great significance in the process of globalization and tourist development.
