Children, Special Needs and the Courts
Abstract:Recent decisions in the courts about the interpretation of the 1981 Education Act are one of the key factors underlying the government's proposals for amending the law on special educational needs. Jack Rabinowicz, chairman of the Education Law Association and a partner in a firm of London solicitors, summarises the main legal developments relating to the 1981 Act and comments on possible trends in the future.
