| Abstract: | Poetry translation, by nature, is to reproduce as much as possible the original artistic charm. This paper, guided by this principle, makes a rough analysis of the metrical devices often used in classical Chinese poetry, and then looks chiefly into some relevant techniques and skills to the transference of metrics in English translation of classical Chinese poetry. |
