韩贞学习思想概论

韩贞作为一个出身陶匠的平民思想家和教育家,十分重视学习在人成长发展中的作用。他认为,学习可以养心,可以让人从学习中获得乐趣,更可以让人成为圣贤。韩贞与泰州王学一样,也讲内学、心悟,但他更重视师友的作用,强调向朋友学习,向老师学习。韩贞还认为道在当下,所以韩贞反对为学者寻章摘句,搬弄陈言,舍却当下不理会。此外,韩贞还主张把学习与实践结合起来,做到学以致用。

Han Zhen's Learning Thought

Born a potter,Han Zhen,as a thinker and educator,attached great importance to learning as a means to enhance personal growth and development.He believed that learning could nourish the heart,entertain people,and help a common person become a saint.Like scholars of Wang Studies in Taizhou,Han Zhen also laid an emphasis on the role of one＇s own enlightenment,but he stressed that one shall learn more from his teachers and friends.In addition,Han Zhen advocated that the Way shall start from the present day,so he opposed to blind following up the instruction of classics without taking the contemporary condition into accounts.In the end,he suggested that learning should be integrated with practice,and apply knowledge to the reality.
