荀子礼论

摘    要:苟子认为,礼为“人道之极”,是做人的头等大事。礼是日常生活起居的习俗,标志着文明与进步;礼是构成社会等级的标准,用以区分人群的高低贵贱;礼具有指导生产和生活实践的意义,要求人们“强本而节用”、“养备而动时”、“修道而不贰”,要求统治者“隆礼贵义”,因此礼从形成概念之日起,就成为人们正身与治世的原则。荀子对礼的本质、起源、内容与作用作了异于前人的阐释,使礼的意义超出了其前孔子的仁本。

Abstract:Xunzi thought, ceremony is the most important thing for human being.First, the ceremony is customs in our daily life,marks the civilization of society; Second,ceremony constitute the social grade, to distinguish people between high and low; ceremony theory can guide people activities in life and work, so it's becomes the principle for people.The scope of meaning in Xunzi's ceremony theory extended more so beyond ceremony theory of Confucius.
