| 摘 要： | 对《荀子·劝学》“非能水也”一句的解释,不少注本皆以“水”为“名词用如动词”。本文分析研究了《荀子》中“能”与“水”字的全部用例,指出“能”为动词,乃“禁得起”、“胜过”、“善于”之义;“水”为名词,不必讲成词类活用。

| Abstract: | In previous interpretations of Fei Neng Shui Ye (be unable to swim) in "Encouraging Learning of Xun Zi", the word Shui(water) is generally considered to be a noun used as a verb. This paper, based on the further analysis and deep research of all the sentences with the words Neng(be able to) and Shui(water) in Xun Zi, argues that the word Neng in this sentence is a verb, meaning "stand", "be better than", "be good at"; the word Shui(water) is a noun, without any word class shift. |
