新中国高等教育发展回顾与反思

近60年来,在党的领导下,我国高等教育在经济落后、文化教育很不发达的基础上,在探索中不断改革,办学规模明显扩大,办学条件逐步改善,办学质量稳步提高,不仅在规模、条件、实力、质量等方面实现了跨越式发展,而且在人才培养、科学研究、文化创新与和谐社会建设方面扮演了日益重要的角色。60年来,高等教育与祖国共命运、与时代共进步,经历了学习苏联、＂革命化＂、面向世界、跨越式发展、科学发展五个发展时期。

A Review of and Reflections on Chinese Higher Education Development since the Founding of the New China

Since its founding 60 years ago in 1949,the People＇s Republic of China has witnessed spectacular achievements in its higher educational development,capturing worldwide attention.Under conditions marked by economic backwardness and cultural underdevelopment,and through continual reforms,China＇s higher education has expanded its scale,improved the conditions for operating universities,and enhanced the teaching quality dramatically.The higher education in China has not only generated a large number of talents for the socialistic modernization development but also made an important contribution to national development in various respects.In the past 60 years,the higher education development in China,which is closely related to the development of the motherland and which progresses with the times,has undergone five stages：learning from the Soviet Union,catering to the needs of the Cultural Revolution,facing to the world,pursuing the leap-forward development,and striving for the scientific development.
