School Reform and Creations in Elementary Education in Contemporary China

China is at the crucial moment of economic development and transition of society and the problems of schools which are caused by social change have got a lot of concerns. This essay is based on the background of social transition and the urgent need of school reform, attempts to classify the related theories of school reform and does a deep research on the nature of school reform and its functions in elementary education. Finally, the author gives comments and suggestions on the objectives and strategies of school.
