| Abstract: | Summary Steve Shadle and Alex Wade, of the University of Washington Libraries, presented an overview of the development and implementation of the Digital Registry of Web Resources, part of the University of Washington Libraries' Web Gateway redesign. The Registry, an SQL database derived from MARC records exported from the Libraries' cataloging system, also provides innovative services for the libraries' users and staff. The presentation was divided into two parts: Steve Shadle discussed the environment in which the decision was made to develop the Digital Registry and design considerations and decisions made during its development; Alex Wade then presented implementation issues and functionalities of the Digital Registry, and discussed future projects. |
