Workstation Ergonomics and Computer Calisthenics

As nearly every aspect of serials work becomes automated, we must select workstation furniture and equipment with human comfort, health, and efficiency in mind. A checklist for planning a new workstation or evaluathg the "people ergonomics" of an existing one is provided. Exercises that can be completed at the terminal, with no special equipment, clothing, or athletic ability required are discussed.
