Abstract: | The economist, the politician, the librarian view the question of charging for public library services from differing perspectives. The two types of service most often considered candidates for fees are interlibrary loan and the use of online bibliographic data bases. Decisions on whether or not to charge for services cannot be made soley on the basis of any one perspective. |
