略论晚清“新民思潮”

新民思潮是中国近代重要的启蒙思潮之一。在从19世纪末至20世纪初的近十年间，严复、梁启超等启蒙思想家，在总结历史的经验教训以及比较中西差距的基础上，对传统的化结构进行了反思。随着认识的不断深入，他们把目光落到了人与人、民族与民族的差距上，并提出了新民的口号。在致力于现代化建设的今天，总结这一思潮，可从历史的起点和现实的要求中得到借鉴和启发。

A Brief Talk on the Ideological Trend of New Democracy in the Late Qing Dynasty

The Ideological Trend of New Democracy is one of the most important enlightenment trends in the modem time in China. For about ten years from the end of the 19th century to the early 20th century, Yanfu, Liang qi-chao, etc., thinkers of enlightment, reflected on the structure of the traditional culture on the basis of the summary of the hsitorical experience and lessons, and the comparason of differences between the Chinese and the western cultures. With the deepening of cognition, they fixed their attention upon the differences between man and man, nation and nation and raised the slogan of New Democracy. Today, in the devotion to the construction of modernizations, we can draw some lessons and enlightenment from the beginning of history and the demands of reality when we summarize this trend.
