| 摘 要： | 为了实现2010年使18－30岁人口的50％接受高等教育的目标,英国高等教育招生制度正面临二战以来的最大改革。2005年9 月,英国政府宣布试行全国大学入学统一考试,并准备推行新的PQA 招生录取制度。改革是针对现行高校招生制度的弊端而进行的,政府在改革中力图实现社会公平与学术优异兼顾。

| Abstract: | In order to enable 50% of the people aged from 18-30 to get access to higher education by the year 2010, the United Kingdom is launching the greatest reform on its university admission system since the World War II. In September 2005, the British government announced that they would pilot the National College Entrance Examination, and also adopt the new PQA admission system. The reform is directed towards the disadvantages of the current university admission system, and the government is trying to seek harmony between social equity and academic excellence in the reform. |
